Private university spreads awareness of its programmes
Fahad Bin Sultan University (@fbsuniversity) was one of the first private universities in Saudi Arabia, based in the north-western city of Tabuk. It consists of five faculties, which grant bachelor's degrees in 11 vocations and master's degrees in more than 15.
Campaign objective
Fahad Bin Sultan University wanted to increase awareness of its educational offerings — especially the bridging programme — and encourage people to submit the university's pre-admission form on their website.
Audience
Their campaign targeted high school students, diploma holders, and holders of bachelor's degrees in Saudi Arabia with interests in science, engineering, maths, computing, finance, and languages. Twitter advertising allowed us to get 52% more potential students to sign up. It is a huge success comparing to other social media channels we have used.

Keys to success
Use the right content
There’s no need to guess which content will work best. With the Twitter campaign dashboard, Fahd Bin Sultan University was able to monitor the level of engagement of its organic Tweets before deciding on which ones to promote in campaigns. They found that image based ads linking to their pre-admission form were most effective.
Understand your audience
Fahad Bin Sultan University used the audience insights dashboard to identify which followers in Saudi Arabia were interested in certain specific disciplines. They were also able to identify other people on Twitter who shared the same interests as their followers and find an audience where their campaign would have the most impact.
